Data Analytics & Health
Transforming data into actionable insights to improve decision-making and outcomes.
An engagement should start with the systems involved, the people responsible for them and the outcome the organization wants to achieve. Agree the work, dependencies, acceptance criteria and operating responsibilities before implementation. The scope and deliverables below are discussion points, subject to the requirements of each project.
Planning the engagement
- Define the decisions and measures the analysis should support
- Review data availability, definitions and quality constraints
- Agree validation, access controls and reporting ownership
Questions to resolve
- Which decision should the analysis improve? Define the measure, population, time period and interpretation before building a dashboard.
- Is the available data fit for that purpose? Review missing values, source changes, inconsistent definitions and potential bias.
- Who owns the interpretation and continued validity of the report? Agree validation, access controls and review when source systems change.
Service requirements, credentials and project evidence can be discussed during a consultation. The published information describes areas of work; it does not promise a particular outcome or service level.
